Progress!

Over the past year . . . much of the progress on this project has been the sssslow and arduous process of extricating myself from a sticks and bricks embedded existence toward a nomadic trolley life . . . . . As I near the end of the emotionally taxing sorting and moving process, Im able to turn my attention toward Trolley . . . . . Here are a few highlights from the past year . . . . .
In December . . . Hank made and installed the queen bed frame . . . he’s got mad skills and did Gorgeous work . . . We used the brackets already in place that had supported the trolley benches . . . . . Best. Christmas. Present. EVER!!!  Love You Hank!

In January . . . I spent the night in the trolley for the first time . . . my dreams sure felt different . . . . .

In February . . . Norm had a look at the roof and converted the rear inoperable windows into hinged wonders . . . . . Each window had its own special flavor of crooked . . . so Norm used his creative talents to get it all talking to each other . . . . .

June brought renewed energy to the whole project as I near the completion of moving out of my house and readying it for sale . . . . . I finally mounted the window hardware I had ordered back in February . . . which took a little bit of finagling to work with each window’s individual character . . . . .

Luke came on board and stuff is really moving now . . . we installed the bathtub which converts into a bench when not in use . . . and can also be used as storage . . . . . (I say “we” but of course he’s doing all the awesome work)

Luke is currently midway through installing the kitchen counter and cabinets . . . . .

The countertop is a solid core door we found at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for $12 . . . . . time to pick my sink and stove and figure out how I want to finish the countertop . . . . . I’ve had meetings with people about working on the plumbing, electrical and propane . . . and all of that should happen within the next few weeks . . . . . so happy to see it (and feel it) coming together . . . so grateful for all the help, encouragement, and support . . . . .
Yay!  Exciting Times!!!
